House rules

Upon arrival at any of our My Proud Havana accommodations, please show your tourist visa and passport to your Host so that proper check-in procedures can be observed.
Once you have checked into your room or apartment, according to the specific conditions of each location, you will pay the full amount of your reserved stay, in the currency and form of payment agreed upon.
Complementary services such as breakfast, laundry, tour guides and transportation do not require payment in advance.
Guests must abide by the House Rules (see below), both the general rules of My Proud Havana and the Host's special rules.
All Guests must agree not to damage or misuse any of the furnishings or facilities in their rooms or in the building where they are staying. Any damage or loss incurred will be settled directly with the Hosts.
For security reasons, the Host must be informed of each visitor to the premises and must be recorded in the Guest Book.
Hosts must respect the conditions given, contracted and agreed with each Guest.
Hosts must ensure that the products and services they provide actually match the conditions that Guests will find upon arrival. If this is not the case, Hosts must provide different accommodation options that correspond to the conditions booked.
Hosts must provide all information needed by Guests.
The services included in the price of the lodging are: hot and cold water, air conditioning, daily maid service, clean sheets and towels, 110 and 220 V electric power.

As confirmation of reservations, the advance payment is equivalent to 25% of the total amount.
Advance payments are made by bank transfer. The rest of the amount of the stay will be in cash. Advance payments are non-refundable.
The amount covering the remainder of the visitor's stay must be paid upon arrival.
The rates indicated cover accommodation for up to 2 persons. A supplement of 10 € will be charged for each additional guest, conditions permitting. Overnight stays require a surcharge. A surcharge also applies to bookings during high season.

In the event that Hosts do not comply with the agreement with their Guest(s) and voluntarily cancel their stay upon arrival, they must guarantee similar accommodations and pay for transportation and any difference in rate, if applicable, for a minimum of 3 nights.
In the event of a cancellation after the start of the stay, the Guest will be reimbursed for the remainder of the stay and the Hosts must guarantee accommodation under the same conditions. Hosts shall also pay any difference in fare and transportation, if applicable.
If the cancellation is due to non-compliance with the rules by the Guest, the Guest will be charged 15% of the amount of the remaining days of the stay.

Upon arrival, Guests will receive the keys to the house or building, the apartment and/or the room. The penalty for loss of keys is 50 €.
Coexistence: Remember that other guests may be sharing the house. Proper care should be exercised.
Smoking is allowed only in the indicated areas.
Children under 12 years of age and pets are not allowed in some rooms. Prior information must be provided.
Sex tourism is prohibited in all My Proud Havana accommodations.
Please inform the Hosts when breakfast is served and each time you leave your room to facilitate the cleaning service.
Check-in time is at 16:00 hours and check-out time is at 12:00 hours. These times apply for check-in and check-out of several guests on the same day, but otherwise they can be negotiated with the Hosts.
